The things of God are simple but yet they are so powerful and amazing...

Simple things like a prayer starting with "Dear Jesus..." is more than enough to let Jesus touch and heal you.

Its a child like faith... but it's more than enough to move an adult's heart.

Those words moved my heart to tears... Because its telling me everything is going to be okay...

The end and beginning of a chapter

Oh man, its been extremely long time since i last blog, this site seems to dying off! Have to put some life back to it.

Anyway my exams just finished. And probably it might the last written exam for the rest of my life liao. No more will i have this mugging thru the nite, cramming my head for months, attending boring lectures for a long long time.

4 years flew past by me... so fast now have to enter into a new phase of life liao. Felt so indifferent, leaving behind a place filled with different kinds of memories. Now the future seems uncertain, though 1 thing for sure, I am going back to camp!!! zzz....

okie shall not drag... for now look forward to my trip next week.

Digitized Coloured Photography

Yesterday had a fun time playing with digital photography trying out several effects. haha
Shall let the photos talk...

Testing my camera, haha i still do not know how to use it.

We were at marina barriage, this is at the top of the building. Nice view and very windy here.

I wonder whether is it dust from the nearby construction or the air pollution in Singapore...

After the barriage, decided to head to clarke quay to capture the sunset. This was my initial attempt lol. Hmm... too much exposure lol.

Black & White Photography!

This week thursday, I had an exciting module named photo imagery... when i entered into the tutorial room and for the 1st time in the week after the start of school, i never felt this kind of 'excitement' before, its hard to describe, it gives you the feeling of jumping on the desk and screaming at the top of yur voice...

and why...

the tutor is teaching us photography from the ancient times !!!
All her photos are from the 1960s !!!
And her appreciation of photos is in that era !!!

sigh, quite a culture shock, my initial thought was that this module will at least be taught in the present day, but thats not true for now, haha, i have just travelled back into time...

plus all her photographs are black and white and she says these are the most basic lol...
I guess we are all too used to digital cameras, whereby the chips and the internal brain of the modernized camera makes everything simple for users.

Anyway... not to demoralised myself, the 2nd lesson was better, we get to use the dark room and develop photos! kind of cool, working inside and there we are to use objects and place them on the photo papers to develop them.

Anyway the images are below, i plucked flowers, leaves, borrowed some lemon slices, plum seeds for my image...

well... the left side supposed to be 2 overlapping leaves but looks more like a bug to me...
the center is a overexposed area and there is supposed to be the petals of the flowers, and the top right is the lemon slice... looks more like a moon that entered into the final stage of the solar eclipse lol.

the next image is much better.

the tutor gave us the correct exposure and voila. Personally i think is quite a nice image, you can actually notice the attributes the made up the lemon slice and the leaves and flower petals are clearly defined.

haha not bad for my 1st experience in the dark room, kind of fun. Though abit laborious when washing the photos... abit slow though... hope the next lesson will be better haha, and more modernised.

I am sian of doing my fyp...

Though never progress much, but thats the reason why i am sian... cannot progress...

Though i see new light again, but... its like doing all over again...

And... i wondered whether this method will work or will it be allowed...

Finally 2008 is over, 2009 here i come !

YES!

Finally, 2008 is over! All that has past, good, bad, happy, sad, joyful, sorrowful... i can finally put behind my backs and look forward to a fresh new year. 2008 can be considered a year of trials for me.

There are downs throughout the entire year, there are failures throughout the weeks, there are pains through the days...

however...

There are also many good days, there are also many happy days, there are also many triumphant days...

I learn that from my downs, from my pains, from my failures, i learn that the reason i fall down is so that i can pick myself up again, treat it as a lesson and move forward once more...

I also learn that from my good days, I must celebrate for it !
I also learn that from my happy days, I must rejoice in it !
I also learn that from my triumphant days, I must give thanks to One who carried through the trials.

I thank God for the year 2008.
Now... i can finally use the verse... Remember's Lot Wife... wahahaha
and move forward to 2009

The Good DayS are yet to come !

Night Cycling exercise and get Fat!

Though on face book, it states that its a cycling exercise, i think the places that we stopped at and the food we ate, amounts to more weight gain and weight loss.

And it wasnt according to the plan at all, our plan there was no plan, we let the wind take us to wherever we wanted to go haha! So our 1st place was Kallang, nothing much though. 2nd place was Geylang! Quite a nitemare that place was, but most importantly, managed to reach our destination safely and some things are worth fighting for, the dao hui was great!

Next, after that wonderful dao hui, we decided to hit the roads again, making our way to Bedok reservoir. On our way there, guess wad we saw, a python ! A huge, long and alive one!

When we 1st saw it, his head was facing us, now umm trying to run away from us haha. Squeezing himself into the drain. lol

Anyway here we are at Bedok, taking a short break... After which our next will be Simpang Bedok! The prata there is has got a heavenly smell that could be smelt even from bedok liao, so off we go.

Oh after the python, we stop by near a 7-eleven and took a photo with the kitten

After the prata, it was about 3 am to 4 am i think, it began to drizzle. zzz... and thank goodness there was enough ponchos to go around, so haha here we are, all of us became green little nuns lol.

Cycling in the rain

Well cycling in the rain and stopping and waiting for the rain is no easy feat... It was freaking irritating (2nd time liao zzz). Anyway we still managed to drag our bikes all the way back to east coast ( there wasnt even sun rise at all... all i saw was clouds), ya and managed to harbor ourselves at a cosy place called macdonalds.

Well, since we are there, we decided to reward ourselves again after a long battle out in the cold.

Almost 8 am, yeah time to throw bikes back to their owners. It will be a while that i will ever see these bikes again lol. Good Riddance. :D

Night Cycling !!!

The Cycling details are:
1. Meet at East Coast Park, MacDonalds 9 pm
2. Our starting point will be at East Coast (Kit Runners), ending point will be at East Coast (Kit Runners) :D
3. To get to East Coast, take bus 196 from Bedok. (City Hall i am not very sure, have to ask around)

The Things required are:
1. Wear white shirts
2. Buy a bottle of cold water b4 coming here. (preferably mineral water type bottles)
3. Bring along a carrier
4. Wear proper footwear (Shoes)
5. Bring some plasters
6. Bring poncho (For those who have 1 at home)

On that day itself:
1. Check your bicycles for faults
- Gears
- Brakes (very important)
- Familiarity with the bike
- Any other weird stuff (Change the bike !)

2. Try not to overtake on narrow routes
3. If you spot a danger(holes, curb or something), please spread the message, let everyone know
4. Have a buddy system on that day, find yourself a partner so that nobody will be missing
5. Look out for each other, warn pple if they are approaching danger
6. Drink plenty of water
7. Have some rest after church b4 coming

After so long, finally decided to update my blog, as it is getting boring here having only 1 post so far !!!

Anyway, I am half way there to freedom! Freedom from studies! (for about 1 month) but can almost taste the joy of hols coming upon me.

Wishing all my friends, NTU friends, Church friends, all the best for their exams! Just as Barack Obama said:

Recently just went to Asia Conference, was fanatastic, especially today's was the best;

Benny Hinns!!! Truly a great man of God! I was really anointed and blessed by wad he said. Hmmm I still wonder how will it feels like to let him lay hands on me, haha well just a thought.
